Bartering day! Students bartered with each other for items they wanted. They constantly analyzed cost-benefit and noticed that the value changed depending on the items. They loved their new treasures! BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is underway! Students have started bring devices and are doing great! I am surprised at how quickly they are picking up on things. We have learned how to log-in every morning. We have also done some cool writing, Socrative which allows us to answer polls and questions, and we have taken online quizzes. I can't wait to see how far we can go! Please note some helpful apps below. If you are willing to download them to your child's device, it will come in handy:
You can visit www.edshelf.com as a great tool to search for apps for your device if you need ideas. We are having a great time with our devices. The sky is the limit! Thank you so much to everyone who donated time or materials for our winter party before break. The kiddos had a BLAST! I am still finding marshmallows around the room :) We have received some author letters back! Earlier this year we learned about parts of a friendly letter and wrote letters to authors. We received a letter from Robert Munsch and Sarah Pennypacker. Click on them below!
Sara Pennypacker Robert Munsch Last week was our fall classroom party. Thank you to all who donated time or materials. We had so much fun! Here are some lessons we created today. Brooke Jillian
